Annually Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT) undertake a comprehensive needs assessment to identify local priorities in relation to treatment need and to highlight service gaps. The needs assessment aims to facilitate a better understanding of drug users and the treatment system and informs the drug treatment planning process, service commissioning and resource allocation, with the aim that drug users will have their needs met more effectively, which in turn benefits the communities that they live in. The Expert Group are charged with steering that process. |
